A paper plane that leaves the button it was drawn on, takes the files you chose in its fold, and comes back empty to set them down.

Into the fold

The stills don’t vanish into the button. They go between the plane’s two wings: the back wing is drawn under them, the front wing over them, and each still is clipped only where it is inside the pocket, so nothing is ever cut in open air.

Carried, not chased

Once a still is seated it rides the plane. Its motion is the plane’s motion, and its spring only closes what is left to the seat. The plane takes the weight once, when the last one is in, and a little more for four files than for one.

It comes back empty

It leaves with the files showing and crosses back small and empty, and each still falls onto the stack as the nose passes over it. The result is written behind the thing that delivered it.
